The PNW’s Queens of Rock Show the Kids How It’s Done

February 2024 – Sleater-Kinney’s LITTLE ROPE Tour kicks off in San Diego: and it’s wild. If you’ve never caught a SLEATER-KINNEY show, do yourself a favor – and get tickets ASAP. What energy. True rock and roll.

A month later, I’m back with the band in the legendary Flora Studios capturing what would become the “FRAYED ROPE SESSIONS” EP live studio recordings: stripped down versions of select songs from LITTLE ROPE, which contained just as much energy as what you’ll hear on the album versions. Incredible. So honored to work with this Carrie, and capture real studio energy and song breakdowns with one of the PNW’s finest bands.

Thank you Carrie & Corin for having me along for the ride from the first show of 2024 – to the final show in Olympia, WA. A dream come true for a rock nerd with a camera who just loves to create for the bands that blew my mind then – and now.

Captured were three alternate studio versions of three songs: “Hunt You Down,” “Say It Like You Mean It,” & “Untidy Creature” Sleater-Kinney’s Alternate Studio takes captured in the making of “FRAYED ROPE SESSIONS EP” on YouTube – and turn up the volume on LITTLE ROPE.
